Enrichment for Grade 5 (Not being held at this time) During the year students in Grade 5 have the opportunity to participate in different activities once a week during their lunch recess. They choose from a wide curriculum offered by the Specialists. These can be different art, PE, or music topics than the children participate in during class and can even extend to other hobbies that the Specialists have experience with, such as Hiking, Computers, Crochet, or even building and flying Kites. The topics change from session to session and students never know just what might be offered.
Past music activities have included (but may change): Alto Recorder, Recorder Karate, Dulcimer - American Folk Instrument, African Drumming, Player's Corner - for students who have experience on various instruments, Ukelele, Guitar Club, and Guitar Basics. This year a beginning keyboard/piano group has started.
